A Study on the Improvement of Communication Dead-zones in Mobile Telephone System by Underground Repeaters Lee,Byung-Yong Department of Information & Communication Engineering Graduated Schoolm Dongshin University Advised by Professor Parkm Soo-Bong In this paperm there was proposed to the improvement of communication dead zones by mini-type and micro repeater to mobile telephone systems. And there was analyzed and compared with conventional method to measured communication quality in communication dead zones. The establishment of underground repeater is going to increase in improvement of communication dead zones and most of industrialist must build on equipments from donor antenna to repeater and service antenna in applied IMT-2000 In radio environment of digital mobile telephone, happen to limited radio region as in and underground building. The underground repeaters is improvement of telecommunication quality on th region and linearly amplify to CDMA signal received from base station and mobile phone by filtering and improvement of communication dead zomes so that transmitted to base station and mobile phone. Because that must necessarily be in need of a repeater and a some equipments in and underground building, there was proposed to method used both donor and a service antenna. And the underground repeater as low-output and micro repeater was developed for improvement of limited service zone in the mobile communication network to be built using underground and in building. In the proposed methodm dividing loss was 3~6dB caused by additional power dividers. And communication quality in service region was -85dBm ~ -64dBm. By applied field to the proposed method in this paperm will be cost effective, facilities, clearance around environment, easily expandable system to service of the mobile communication network. The organization of this paper is as follows. In section2, a detailed theory of mobile communication systems is presented. In section 3, a theory on the radio wave propagation is illustrated. Insection 4, an establishment of underground repeater for improvement of communication dead zone is presented. In section 5, improved method of communication dead zones by mini-type and micro repeater to mobile telephone systems is presentes. In section 6, there was analyzed and compared with conventional method to measured communication quality in communication dead zones. In section 7, some concluding remarks are given.
