허혈성 심질환에 활용된 사역탕의 연구동향

Research Trend of Sayeok-tang Used in Ischemic heart disease

Purpose: Sa-yeok tang is made up of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preperata, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radis et Rhizoma, and it is a cold-dispelling formula used for deficiency cold syndrome. It is used for diseases such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, acute and chronic gastroenteritis, and gastric effusion. This study intends to propose the possibility of expansion of basic research and clinical applications for ischemic heart disease (IHD) through systematic analysis of domestic and foreign papers on Sa-yeok tang. Methhods: We collected domestic and foreign papers on ischemic heart disease in Sa-yeok tang, and excluded papers lacking in relevance. Papers selected as research materials were classified by research method, and the gist of the paper was analyzed for each classification. Result: Out of 32 selected papers, There were 1 systematic review, 6 clinical studies, 14 animal experiments, 8 metabolite analysis through animal experiments, and 3 cell experiments. Through this, it was possible to confirm the possibility of application as an adjuvant to nitroglycerin and PTCA (percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty) as well as improving symptoms and quality of life of patients with ischemic heart disease. Such at the molecular level, myocardial protective effects through antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and anti-hypertensive actions were confirmed. Also, metabolomically, actions on carbohydrate metabolism, protein metabolism, lipid metabolism were reported. Conclusion: This study suggests that Sa-yeok tang has potential as a treatment for ischemic heart disease.
